Yavin Groenewegen is a trombonist and proud XO Brass endorser. He performs on the XO 1634RLT, a trombone he considers the perfect all-rounder. Whether playing his solo projects or performing in powerful horn sections, this instrument feels at home in any setting.

Yavin graduated from the Conservatory of Jazz in Rotterdam and is highly active in the gospel scene. In addition, he writes and produces his own music. After completing his studies, Yavin became a brass instrument teacher at the Forte Music Centre. From Forte, Yavin worked at primary schools, where he gave general music lessons and regular workshops.

Nowadays, Yavin not only makes music himself, but also runs workshops to inspire others to get into music. The workshops cover various aspects of mastering the trombone. In addition to specific workshops, Yavin can also be booked for general workshops that focus more on ensemble playing. Since December 2022, Yavin has also been working in his own music shop, YET Music & Sound in Dordrecht, the Netherlands.
